Nike | The 7th Star | Activation 2019
For the World Cup 2019, Nike didn’t want to focus on women’s football, the women’s tournament or the women’s title, like most brands. Instead, they united Germany’s total of six men’s and women’s World Cup titles, or “stars”, emblematically, to take a stand against gender disparity. The dream of the 7th star was represented by the unisex 7-stars-jersey which was sent to players, athletes, and fans. All of them wore it proudly and many more showed their support for the idea and the team.
